Next Monday will be the 47th Presidential Inauguration, and now more than ever, it is important to remain committed to the values of Northwest Washington. The future holds many uncertainties and potential obstacles, but those shared values – working hard, caring for each other, and serving the community – always guide my work in Congress.

My family has called Northwest Washington home for more than 100 years. My great-grandparents settled in the Deming area in the late 1800s, and since then, my family has shared the experiences and concerns of many in our region.

The values of service and community shape my priorities in Congress. I am guided by the lessons I learned growing up in the Pacific Northwest as I fight for protecting reproductive freedom, combatting fentanyl in our communities, building an economy that works for everyone, increasing access to health care, and supporting our veterans.

During this time of transition, my priorities and values are clear. No matter who is in the White House, I work hard to serve the people of Northwest Washington.

More soon,

Rick
