After a long, hard-fought battle, we’re finally making progress: men will soon lose the right to compete in women’s sports—and dadgummit, it’s about time.

Democrats tried to block the effort, but by the grace of God, a couple of them showed a little common sense and joined Republicans to do what we should have done a long time ago.

The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act would change the law to specify that student-athletes must be on school sports teams that match the gender on their dadgum birth certificate—what a concept.

I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again: allowing boys to compete with our daughters isn’t just wrong, it’s dangerous. If you’re with me on this (and I have a feeling you are), chip in $15 to make your position known. We can’t sit by and tolerate this assault on our daughters.

In addition to taking trophies and opportunities away from hardworking girls, injuries that stem from this madness are cropping up everywhere. 

Now, it’s up to the Senate to push this ban across the finish line. Republicans say they’re ready to act soon, but we need to keep the momentum going. This fight isn’t over, and we can’t afford to let up.
