Hi Friend,
Earlier this week, I sent you an email about our latest investigation exposing widespread animal suffering at multiple live markets ([link removed]) in the San Francisco Bay area. Now we need your help to take the next crucial step.
San Francisco Animal Care & Control (SFACC) has the power to stop the horrific abuse we've documented – but so far, they've failed to take meaningful action. We need to show them that citizens won't stand by while animals suffer. Will you take a moment to send them an email demanding they do their job to protect animals?
We've made it simple. You can either use the button to send your email, or copy and paste the message below, and send it to

Dear ACC and Deputy Director Corso,
Thank you for the work you do to help animals.
I am writing to ask ACC to increase its efforts to stop animal cruelty in San Francisco's live markets. I oppose animal cruelty of all forms, and I was saddened to see videos of ongoing cruel practices in the markets, such as the dismembering of live turtles and bludgeoning of fish.
It has come to my attention that ACC will not use video evidence to address this cruelty. We hope that ACC will reconsider its position, and will use video evidence in two ways:
* To issue more frequent citations under Cal. Penal Code Section 597.3;
* To work with law enforcement to enforce Cal. Penal Code Section 597, which has steeper penalties than Section 597.3.
If ACC is unwilling to use video evidence in these ways, please issue a statement informing the public of your reasoning. I trust that ACC will do the right thing to help so many suffering animals.
Thank you,
[Your name]
Your email will help push SFACC to:
* Take video evidence seriously
* Issue more citations for animal cruelty
* Work with law enforcement to pursue stronger penalties
* Be transparent about their enforcement decisions
Every voice matters in this fight. The animals suffering in these markets need people like you to speak up for them.
Thank you for taking action to help end this cruelty.
For the animals,
Ben Williamson
Executive Director
P.S. After you send your email, please consider taking our VegPledge ([link removed]) to help reduce animal suffering by committing to leaving all animals off your plate. Every action counts, and together we can create meaningful change for animals.
