Miller, a serial philanderer and deadbeat dad who admitted to hiring prostitutes behind his wife's back, fathered an extramarital child with a fellow Trump staffer, and was once accused of rape by another former staffer, chose some incredibly curious and nauseating words while discussing the MAGA cult leader's current pick to lead the FBI. Miller tweeted, "We all look forward to @Kash_Patel taking these idiotic Democrats to Pound Town if/when they decide to waste their time asking him about hypothetical conspiracy theories in his hearing." We'd really like to think he doesn't mean what we think he means, but given what we know about Miller, we unfortunately think he means what we think he means.

Joe Biden issues dire warning in his farewell speech to America
In his final address to America as president of the United States, Joe Biden warned about the concentration of power and wealth in government as well as a "tech-industrial complex" that threatens democracy and basic freedoms. “I want to warn the country of some things that give me great concern: the dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a very few ultra-wealthy group of people and the dangerous consequences if their abuse is left unchecked,” Biden said while speaking from the Oval Office for his final time as president. "Today, an oligarchy is taking shape in America that literally threatens our democracy, our basic rights, our freedoms," he added, alluding to the number of billionaires that will comprise the Cabinet of Donald Trump’s administration, as well as those outside with tremendous influence, like the world's richest man-toddler, Elon Musk.

New Orleans begins clearing homeless encampments, moving unhoused out of sight ahead of Super Bowl
Ah, yes. One of America's great annual traditions is well under way in the Big Easy, as state officials in Louisiana have begun rounding up unhoused people and clearing out homeless encampments to make New Orleans look more aesthetically appealing to tens of thousands of tourists ahead of next month's Super Bowl. Republican Gov. Jeff Landry callously framed the sweep — which city officials say undermines their efforts to actually address homelessness — as part of a move to secure New Orleans, especially in the aftermath of the New Year’s Day attack that killed 14 people. Quick reminder the assailant responsible for the massacre two weeks ago was neither homeless nor a resident of New Orleans, but rather an Army veteran from the Houston area. Moving right along... Many people have already been relocated to a temporary warehouse facility that costs millions of dollars to operate and those still on the street have been threatened with legal action if they do not comply with orders to clear out their camps. Seems like tackling the root cause of homelessness and investing in longer-term strategies to mitigate and overcome the epidemic would be a better use of such funds but also "ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?!"
