Dear Friends,

I hope this message finds you well. I want to share a heartbreaking story about a family affected by the recent Eaton Fire in Altadena and invite you to join us in our efforts to help them and others in need.

The Sawyer Family's Struggle

Lydia Sawyer, her husband Tom, and their elderly uncle Richard have lived in their home for nearly 40 years. Tragically, they lost everything in the fire, including the memories and stability they had built for their three grandchildren, whom they are raising. As Lydia stood before the charred remains of their home, she struggled to hold back tears, knowing that she would have to explain this devastating loss to the children. To add to their heartbreak, their insurance won’t cover their losses due to a missed payment.

How You Can Help

This Sunday, January 19th, from 12 PM to 3 PM, I am partnering with Hon. Chris Holden, the Hospital Association of Southern California, and Hope the Mission to host a donation drive for families like the Sawyers. We are also inviting the Sawyer family to the event to provide them with direct financial assistance that day.

Donation Drive Details:

- Date: Sunday, January 19th

- Time: 12 PM - 3 PM

- Location: Pasadena Unified School District
