Fifteen days into 2025, we’ve already seen our first big election in Virginia. Two of our endorsed Democracy Defenders — Kannan Srinivasan and JJ Singh — won special elections to help Democrats keep control of the state legislature and fend off a Republican trifecta. 

As Attorney General Eric Holder said, “This election underscores the continuing historical fact that the fight for our democracy is never over — as long as the people continue to participate.”

With a state supreme court election in Wisconsin right around the corner — and more races in Virginia and Pennsylvania this fall — we must keep working all year long to elect Democracy Defenders.
