John: NRA-backed politicians are already working overtime to put forth deadly bills that would destroy our hardwon progress on gun violence prevention and make us all less safe. When the truth is that the majority of Americans want common sense action to prevent gun violence. If you’re one of the Americans that want to save lives, add your name to Brady’s urgent petition to Congress, urging them to reject these dangerous bills NOW. >>

John,
Less than a month into the new Congress, Second Amendment extremists are already trying their hardest to chip away at life-saving progress our movement has made over the past years.
In addition to NRA-backed “concealed carry reciprocity” bills being introduced, Rep. Lauren Boebert has introduced a bill to abolish the ATF.
Her reasoning? That “the ATF should be abolished before they eventually abolish our Second Amendment.”
This is fearmongering and downright unfactual rhetoric, John. And Brady is ready to fight tooth and nail to prevent this dangerous bill from becoming law. But we need your help to make it clear this is not the kind of action the American people want:
Add your name to Brady’s urgent petition to Congress, urging them to reject this bill and protect the ATF. >>

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is the only governmental organization in charge of enforcing gun laws in our country, John. President Biden worked hard to enable the ATF to be more able to enforce gun laws and save lives, appointing the first confirmed ATF Director, Director Steve Dettlebach, after a six-year vacancy. With a strong leader at the helm and a new “zero tolerance” policy for federal firearms dealers that willfully break the law, the ATF has shut down over 800 rogue gun dealers, a historic high for the Bureau.
Rep. Boebert is wrong about the ATF, John, and if her dangerous bill becomes law, gun dealers will go unchecked and Americans will be at risk. We’re counting on activists like you to speak out against this deadly bill today:
So please, will you add your name to Brady’s urgent petition to Congress, urging them to reject this bill and protect the ATF. >> [[link removed]]
