Statement from Representative Adriano Espaillat on the Israel-Hamas Ceasefire
WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) issued the following statement in response to the Israel-Hamas war ceasefire:
"I am grateful for the Israel-Hamas war ceasefire deal and the release of individuals who had been held hostage since the October 7th attack, including American citizens," said Rep. Espaillat. "This ceasefire deal, which includes returning 33 hostages back home and with a surge of humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians, will begin the end of 15 long months of war and suffering.
"As we continue to urge for the safe return of the remaining hostages, including several Americans, we must do all that it takes to ensure their safe return and reunification with their families. I thank President Biden and his team for all of the efforts made to bring us to this point," he concluded.
