Your children’s school teachers and undocumented classmates, your coworkers with temporary status, the woman who bags your groceries, the man who delivers packages to your doorstep, and your friends and neighbors will ALL be impacted. The reach of these deportations is massive and devastating.
Already, Trump's allies in Congress are planning to waste taxpayer dollars by allocating a whopping $100 billion for mass deportation in the next spending bill. His authoritarian agenda will cost people their jobs, families, and lives.
Politicians will not save us, team. The House just recently passed House Resolution 29 (HR 29), to indiscriminately target immigrant communities. It will take all of us, including everyday Americans, to do something.
For the next four years, we’re going to be fighting a battle on so many different fronts: Stopping deportations, protecting our asylum systems, enforcing human rights at the border, organizing against anti-immigrant legislation, and more.
