My friends, it’s Ruben.

Now that campaign is over, you’ve probably noticed that you hear from me a bit less than you used to. That’s not a bad thing from your side, I hope — I think you probably appreciate the lighter pace.

But here’s the thing: I do still need to reach out, from time-to-time. I’ll be reaching out with actions you can take, like surveys and petitions. I’ll be letting you know what I’m up to. And, yes, I’ll be asking for donations sometimes, too.

We built a really incredible operation over the last two years — a campaign that overperformed the top of the ticket, a team that won in a state where we easily could have lost, and a team that can make a real difference. It was something special. And to keep that going, I need two things: You to continue being involved, and the resources to sustain my campaign (because these don’t come free, believe it or not).

Today is one of the days when I’m going to ask you for a donation, since we’re right up on our mid-month deadline. I don’t expect you to give every time I ask — never have. But I do need the folks who can afford it to give what they can, when they can.

So, I’m asking: Can I count on you today?
