Hello John,
Food trucks represent the heart of Georgia’s vibrant food scene, but outdated
regulations stifled their growth for years.
Take the story of Brandon Peña and his family.
<[link removed]>
They poured their savings into a food truck, Tres Jardines, only to face a
crushing reality: Georgia’s permitting system requiredseparate approvals for
each of the state’s 159 counties.
Big-government red tape drained their resources and left them struggling to
keep their dream alive.
At the end of the day: Small family businesses should be focused on sharing
their services with their customers, not keeping the government happy.
The Peña family wasn’t alone. Excessive regulations burdened countless food
truck owners — until they partnered with AFP.
AFP joined forces with small business advocates to draft and pass HB 1443, a
law that replaces 159 permits with just one statewide license.
The results have been transformative.
Brandon’s family now runs two food trucks, providing income to support their
family of five.
These aren’t just feel-good stories (though we love seeing big wins like
these). They’re proof that when concerned citizens like you speak up, big
changes are possible.
Curious about how AFP made this change happen?

With your support, we can continue breaking down barriers for small
businesses, ensuring opportunities for entrepreneurs to succeed and share their
passions with their communities.
Thank you for standing with AFP.
