Dear John,

Here at Concerned Veterans for America, we’ve always honored “for America” in
our organization’s name by advocating for policies that will benefit all
Americans, including veterans and military families. With the 119th Congress
now in session and Donald Trump soon to be inaugurated, we fervently wish and
strongly encourage Washington to extend President Trump’s 2017 tax cuts for all
Americans.

America’s veterans have served, risked and made incredible sacrifices for
America’s safety and for our nation’s prosperity. As veterans, many of us are
in middle-class communities, some of us even own businesses, and we all see the
impact of economic policy on our neighbors' pocketbooks.

A strong American economy requires a pro-growth tax policy. In the first two
years after Donald Trump’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) passed into law, both
investment and employee compensation rose significantly. So have tax revenues
on average since the TCJA’s passage, despite cuts in tax rates, according to the
non-partisan Tax Foundation.

Today, swift action is required. Without new legislation, these tax cuts will
expire at the end of 2025. If allowed to expire, the result will be higher tax
rates for all Americans and burden for middle class families already suffering
from inflation. Higher taxes on businesses, large and small, will be passed on
to consumers in the form of higher prices (more inflation). Slowing growth has
historically been associated with wage stagnation andless employment.

A strong U.S. economy requires a pro-growth tax policy. Without a strong
economy, our nation cannot sustain a strong military to ensure safety and
prosperity. The first step in ensuring that prosperity at home is through the
Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

Click here and tell your federal legislators that job one for Congress

is to pass a tax cut extension, to avert an economic catastrophe for the
middle class, and protect America’s prosperity going forward.
