While Arizona’s new Democratic Governor, Katie Hobbs, claims to seek “bipartisan compromise,” her weak stance on border security is already clear. Two weeks after her election, Hobbs visited the Arizona-Mexico border and announced plans to “work with Trump’s administration” to stop fentanyl trafficking. Yet, she simultaneously downplayed the real dangers we face—like violent criminals pouring across our border—and made excuses for prioritizing political optics over action. The stakes couldn’t be higher. Last year, Arizona saw a staggering 47% increase in fentanyl-related deaths, and our border remains a gateway for human trafficking, drugs, and crime. Let me be blunt: Arizona cannot afford soft stances, half-measures and empty promises. As your Arizona State Senator-elect, I’m ready to take bold steps to secure our border, protect our communities, and ensure our state’s safety. Here’s my plan to fight for Arizona: Fully Fund Law Enforcement: We need adequate resources to combat the fentanyl epidemic and stop cartels in their tracks.
