Project 2025, a policy blueprint backed by powerful interests, outlines a sweeping plan to dismantle public land protections.

VetVoice Foundation

JOHN,

Vet Voice Foundation and our partners have worked relentlessly over the last several years to expand federal protections for our public lands. Thanks to that work, President Biden designated both Chuckwalla and Sáttítla National Monuments yesterday. This action helped cement his status as our public lands president.

This is a huge victory — for Veterans and non-Veterans alike, and for generations to come.

Veterans have a long history with our public lands and have been central figures in efforts to create, expand, safeguard, and use them — from fellow Veteran President Teddy Roosevelt, who used the Antiquities Act to protect millions of acres during his presidency, to World War II veteran Earl Schaffer, who became the first person to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail following his service to “walk off the war,” to Veterans today who are found utilizing and enjoying public lands in all corners of the country.

But all of this progress is now under threat. Project 2025, a policy blueprint backed by powerful interests, outlines a sweeping plan to dismantle public land protections. The agenda includes privatizing federal lands, removing safeguards for wildlife, and expanding drilling, mining, and commercial development in some of the nation’s most cherished natural spaces.

If implemented, this plan would fundamentally alter the character of public lands across the country, stripping away protections that ensure these spaces remain open, accessible, and preserved for future generations.

So... what can we do?

The first step is to organize. We’ll be working around the clock as a xxxxxx against Project 2025 and any efforts to sell our nation’s treasures off to the highest bidder.

These lands belong to all of us, not a handful of billionaires. We need you. Will you join us?
