Please join us in sharing some appreciation and best wishes for Lala.

Dear John,

As you may know, Sister District’s co-founder, Lala Wu, has stepped down as Executive Director. From co-founding Sister District with four other women to growing our community to over 90,000 volunteers, Lala has been instrumental in building an enduring movement to shift the balance of power in state legislatures. Her contributions have shaped Sister District into the vibrant, impactful community it is today.

While Lala steps away from her role as Executive Director, we’re thrilled that she will remain closely connected to Sister District as an advisor and as a volunteer with her local team.

To show our gratitude and wish her the best in her next chapter, we're putting together a virtual thank-you card for Lala. If you have a favorite memory, funny story, or simply a message of appreciation, we'd love for you to share it!

As we announced last week, we are thrilled that Sarah Curmi is stepping into the role of Executive Director. Sarah brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Sister District. As one of the nation’s foremost authorities on state legislative elections and down-ballot campaigning, she is deeply committed to building on our successes and driving us forward in our mission to building power in the states through grassroots engagement.

This transition marks an exciting moment for Sister District. While we will miss Lala, we’re confident that Sarah’s leadership will take us even farther in the years to come.

With gratitude,

— The Sister District Team
