New York City’s youth deserve a future filled with opportunity, which is why I’m introducing the Youth Jobs Guarantee to expand the Summer Youth Employment Program into a year-round initiative.
This plan will ensure every young person, aged 16-24, has access to meaningful work or education by 2030, while training them for critical industries and addressing racial employment gaps.

We’ve seen the impact programs like SYEP can have — not just creating jobs, but creating hope by reducing felony arrests, incarceration, and violence while increasing the likelihood of personal and professional success.
