UN News quoted Philippe Lazzarini, the commissioner-general of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees, as saying “The smell of death is everywhere as bodies are left lying on the roads or under the rubble. Missions to clear the bodies or provide humanitarian assistance are denied.”
This is just one of the many brutal consequences of Netanyahu’s war on Gaza’s civilian population which so far, according to the most conservative estimates, has killed over 45,000 people, the majority of whom are women and children. Lazzarini continued: “In northern Gaza, people are just waiting to die. They feel deserted, hopeless and alone. They live from one hour to the next, fearing death at every second.”
The brutal reality is that these atrocities have been happening for over a year with complicity from members of the House Progressive Caucus, 55 of whom voted to send more bombs to Israel.
Our mission is to make Congressional Progressive Caucus members stop supporting Israel’s war and return their AIPAC money. But we can’t do it alone. Can you donate $10 or whatever you can spare to help us make the Congressional Progressive Caucus truly representative of progressive values?
