John,
In a disturbing move, Pastor John Cao's wrongful conviction has been upheld.
Without even holding a hearing, an appeals court in China recently upheld the wrongful conviction and sentence of 7 years in prison for the Christian Pastor. Pastor Cao had been arrested and convicted while conducting humanitarian work and ministering to the people of China and Burma (Myanmar).

Even though it was a public announcement, the Court did not allow any of Pastor Cao's students and friends or or even U.S. Consulate staff to sit in the courtroom. Now Pastor Cao has been transferred to an unknown prison.
We've been aggressively fighting to bring Pastor Cao home to his wife Jamie and their two sons. In less than a week, we will, again, be submitting legal documents to the U.N. Human Rights Council urging action to secure the release of Pastor Cao.
Please pray for Pastor Cao and his family. He's suffered nearly two and a half years of wrongful imprisonment for his faith. At the ACLJ, with your help, we'll continue working to bring Pastor Cao home safely to Jamie and their sons here in America.
