Jan 29th and 30th at the Royal Courts of Justice
Extinction Rebellion

Hello John,

IT’S OFFICIAL, our climate is in breakdown.

With the average global temperature hitting 1.6C last year, we have breached the 1.5C limit set by the Paris Climate Agreement as a ‘safe' maximum. Hurricanes, floods, fires — everything is escalating now, even faster than climate scientists predicted.

However, many of those who have dared to highlight the danger we are in have been sent to jail.

Now, more than ever, we need to defend our right to peaceful protest.

On 29th and 30th January, sixteen climate activists are set to appeal their combined 41-year jail terms for daring to stand up for our planet’s future.[1]

Every organisation, campaign group and individual who supports this democratic right is affected by the outcome of this appeal.[2]

Join hundreds of other people outside the Royal Courts of Justice in London. Events will start from 9am on both days, but with a particular focus on a mass-participation action on January 30th from 12pm - 2pm.

Learn more about this action and how corporate interests are corrupting the rule of law by joining a one-hour Zoom call on Wed 15th 6:30pm, Sun 19th 11am, Wed 22nd 6:30pm or Sun 26th 11am.

”We will fight for that right to free protest. We will fight for democracy in the UK.” – Chris Packham.

Love and Rage,
