John — Trump officials have begun a crusade to wipe out any potential dissent in the National Security Council.

Yes, the same National Security Council that my twin brother Alex and I served on when we blew the whistle on Trump over 5 years ago.

We’ve already seen Donald Trump fill his cabinet with billionaire loyalists who will bow at his feet, but he’s not stopping there.

In an interview with the alt-right publication Breitbart, Trump’s National Security Advisor pick Rep. Mike Waltz said he is taking serious steps to ensure there are no more Vindmans in the NSC and will eliminate career security intelligence personnel who aren't “100 percent aligned with the president’s agenda.” Currently, employees are being questioned on who they voted for and being tested on their loyalty to Trump.

This is a page directly out of the authoritarian playbook, John. It’s an attempt to eliminate accountability and is dangerous for our national security.

But it proves that Trump is scared — scared that more honest folks like my brother and me will stand up for democracy and against his corruption once again.

I have stood up to Trump before and am not afraid to do it again, this time as a member of Congress. I will be on the frontlines of the fight to hold him accountable in the People’s House, but I need your continued support to sustain the fight ahead.
