 Dear Friend,
This morning, Governor Gretchen Whitmer will deliver her “Road Ahead Address” at the Detroit Auto Show, presenting a commonsense path forward for Michigan’s economy.
With a focus on top priorities for the next two years, this address will lay out Governor Whitmer’s vision to strengthen Michigan’s economy by working with Republicans and Democrats. The speech will focus on how to grow Michigan’s auto industry, create good-paying jobs, fix the damn roads, and build relationships with our neighbors.
Each of these priorities builds on the work the Whitmer-Gilchrist administration has accomplished over the past six years, ensuring Michigan is the best state for people and businesses to locate, invest, and grow. Since being elected, Governor Whitmer has made clear that she will work with anyone to support Michiganders across the state. The governor has signed 1,431 bipartisan bills into law, nearly 1,000 of which were signed in partnership with a Republican-controlled legislature.
