Hello there,

Kamala Harris is an early favorite for Biden’s vice president. She’s earned the approval of dozens of Biden’s top advisers and allies, and now POLITICO reports that “Influential donors are joining in the push, seeing the daughter of immigrants from India and Jamaica as the most logical choice to balance a ticket led by a white man in his late 70s.”

Harris has said she’d be “honored” to join. But some worry she could be a controversial choice -- especially after her tough talk with Biden on the debate stage. She’s also been the subject of Trump’s ire when he took relish in mocking Harris on Twitter after she suspended her presidential campaign.

Some top Democrats think she’d be a smart choice to make the ticket stronger and more diverse. But she could be a polarizing pick. ASPIRE hasn’t endorsed any candidate for VP, but we’re asking engaged Democrats today:
