News has broken that there may be another, more nefarious reason that Donald Trump dismissed State Department Inspector General and watchdog Steve Linick -- Linick was investigating whether Secretary of State Mike Pompeo broke the law to sell arms to Saudi Arabia.

According to The New York Times, Linick was in the "final stages" of the investigation, and his office had already presented early findings to senior State Department officials.

But apparently Pompeo just asked Trump to fire Linick instead of cooperating.

Trump did. His reason? According to Trump: "I said, 'Who appointed him?' and they say, 'President Obama.' I said, 'Look I'll terminate him.'"

There you have it. Apparently Trump is happy to help his administration cover up unlawful dealings with the Saudis -- just as long as he gets to fire an Obama appointee. With Congress poised to let this abuse of power continue, we need a message from you -- tell us:
