The wildfires sweeping through the Los Angeles area have upended lives, forcing thousands to evacuate and leaving communities on edge as they watch and wait. My heart hurts for our fellow Californians, and I want to acknowledge the immense fear and uncertainty that so many are experiencing right now.

In the face of this ongoing crisis, firefighters, first responders, and countless volunteers are showing extraordinary courage, working tirelessly to protect lives and contain the devastation. Their dedication is nothing short of heroic, and we owe them our deepest gratitude for putting their lives on the line.

• 211 LA is partnering with Airbnb to offer free temporary housing for people displaced by the wildfires. More info here.
• Planet Fitness and Crunch Fitness are opening their doors to evacuees and first responders who need to shower, recharge their phones, or rest.
• Infatuation LA compiled a list of restaurants in the Los Angeles area that are offering shelter or free meals to first responders and evacuees.

For those seeking ways to support the relief efforts, the Red Cross is accepting donations to help provide food, shelter, and other essential aid to those impacted. Their work is critical as the fires continue to rage, and every contribution helps. If you can spare a donation, please consider uplifting our fellow Californians.
