Tomorrow, January 15, is the last day to sign up for health care coverage through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace. If you still need insurance for the coming year, I encourage you to take a look at the affordable plans that are available for Texas residents at HealthCare.gov.
Since I was elected to Congress, affordable health care has been one of my top priorities. My family and I get our health care through the ACA marketplace, and our plan (which is available to the public) has covered everything from pediatrician visits to cancer treatments.
In 2022, I was proud to support the Inflation Reduction Act, a law that made progress to lower health care premiums and prescription drug costs, including insulin. Today, many people can get a health care plan from the ACA marketplace for $10 or less per month.
