John, the anti-equality majority in the U.S. House has fulfilled one of their campaign promises: they've passed an anti-trans sports ban. They're attempting to rewrite Title IX, the federal civil rights law that prohibits sex discrimination in educational institutions. The author of this hateful bill even went so far as to claim trans people and trans identities are made up, before launching into a transphobic rant!
It's disgraceful that one of the first acts of the new term involves a bill targeting and stigmatizing trans people. While our LGBTQ+ House members are speaking out against the bill, it's imperative that we have their backs. These bigots have a narrow majority, and we can carve away at it. With special elections coming up and 2026 right around the corner, we have to send them reinforcements and take back our pro-LGBTQ+ majority. Pitch in today to boot these bigots!
Look, we absolutely cannot let bigotry like this go unanswered. We have to keep fighting and pushing to elect LGBTQ+ people in the U.S. Congress.
