John,
This week, confirmation hearings are being held for the first of Trump’s cabinet picks — a collection of anti-environment, pro-fossil fuel lobbyists and former elected officials.
As fires rage across Los Angeles, pushing the climate crisis again into national news, it’s important that your senator hear that this is not okay and that these nominees should be rejected.
Now is the time to take action as cabinet hearings begin this week! Send a message to your Senator urging them to vote NO on Trump’s anti-environment, anti-climate cabinet picks!

If Trump gets his way, he and the following cabinet picks will roll back hard-fought protections for our food, water, and climate so billionaires can rake in more profits:
Lee Zeldin, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
Zeldin has a track record of opposing environmental protections and will be a disaster as EPA secretary. As early as 2014, Zeldin questioned if climate change was a problem and, as a candidate for Governor of New York, railed against environmental regulations and demanded that New York rescind its historic fracking ban. Learn more about Zeldin’s ant-environment record here.
Brooke Rollins, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)
Rollins was President of America First Policy Institute, which led a campaign against the Biden administration's efforts to promote competition and stop monopolies through antitrust enforcement. Rollins previously worked at a pro-oil drilling think tank in Texas and embraces Trump’s drill baby drill agenda.
Chris Wright, Department of Energy (DOE)
Wright owns a fracking company and once drank fracking fluid as a PR stunt. He also testified against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's greenhouse gas emissions disclosure rule.
Your Senator can fight Trump's toxic agenda by opposing these dangerous cabinet picks, but they need to hear from you TODAY as hearings get underway this week.

Even if these nominees get approved, it’s critical that it happens by the narrowest of margins, that senators ask tough questions, and that they hold them and the administration accountable. The confirmation process is the first test of how much the Senate will defer to Trump’s anti-environment agenda.
We’re gearing up to fight Trump and his dangerous administration with everything we have — mobilizing our members in every state across the country, fighting Trump’s policies in court, lobbying members of Congress on Capitol Hill, and joining forces with our allies — and your activism is critical as we take on the battles heading our way this year.
Take action now to oppose Trump’s dangerous, corporate-friendly, anti-regulation cabinet picks!
Onward together,
