As you know, leftist elected officials and bureaucrats, “nonprofit” organizations, and major corporations have illegally interfered with federal immigration law enforcement for decades. Along with the Biden administration, turning a blind eye to the crisis on our borders, ignoring our laws, and welcoming illegal aliens into the United States, these individuals and groups not only condoned but zealously encouraged these practices for years.
Now, President Trump will return to the White House. He ran – and won – on a promise to end the chaos at the border and restore law and order in our country.
And yet these same lawless leftists DO NOT CARE about the will of the people. Instead, these officials, bureaucrats, and others are doubling down on their schemes to obstruct federal law enforcement, most dangerously creating more so-called “Sanctuary Strongholds” - whether they be cities, towns, or even states - to harbor and protect illegal aliens, including those who have committed acts of violence against American citizens.
This is unacceptable. Accordingly, America First Legal has already taken action against this blatant violation of federal law, launching a major initiative to fight back against “Sanctuary Strongholds” and to protect the rule of law.

INITIAL PHASE OF ACTION: As a first step, we have placed 249 elected officials across the country on written notice of the legal consequences that they could face for impeding federal immigration law enforcement and for concealing, harboring, or shielding illegal aliens. And our warnings have already made an impact by forcing far-left officials to defend their actions publicly such as Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey’s recent declaration that Massachusetts is not a sanctuary state.
We have also commenced aggressive investigations of governors, mayors, and other local government officials to forcibly expose the individuals and organizations that are actively undermining federal immigration enforcement, public safety, and American sovereignty.
