Dear Friend,

"I still have a dream."

These powerful words from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. echo through time – and through stories like Marvin's. When Marvin first came to the Urban League, he had almost given up on his dreams: a full-time job with benefits, a place to call home, and being important to his community.

But the dream lived on.
Through our comprehensive job training program, Marvin found more than skills – he found people who saw him, supported him, and believed in him as a young Black man. Today, after two promotions, Marvin isn't just achieving his own dream – he's helping others achieve theirs as a role model in our program.

The path toward equity is paved with millions of individual dreams. As we approach Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we're inviting our community to share their visions for a more equitable America.

Friend, what's your dream for equity in 2025? What future do you envision for our communities

While progress has been made, our 2024 Equality Index shows Black Americans are still missing 24% of the economic pie compared to white Americans. The road ahead is challenging, but like Dr. King, we say: "in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I STILL HAVE A DREAM."

Your support helps us serve nearly 4 million people each year through:
√    Job training programs that lead to lasting financial stability
√    Housing initiatives that create homeowners
√    Education programs that open doors to college
√    Civil justice work that protects voting rights
√    Health equity programs that save lives

Will you help make dreams like Marvin's come true with a gift today?

Together, we can turn dreams into reality.

Sincerely,

Marc H. Morial
President and Chief Executive Officer

P.S. After you make your gift, don't forget to share your dream for 2025 here.  Selected dreams will be featured in our MLK Day message!
