John,
I hope you and your loved ones are safe. Our hearts are with the communities impacted by the destructive fires in Southern California.
Today, I’m reaching out to Common Cause members like you from across the country to share how we can come together to support those affected by these tragic fires. We’ve gathered this initial list of local aid partners we trust, so please contribute directly to them if you’re able to >>
So many of our friends, coworkers, loved ones, and community members have been deeply impacted by these fires. Entire neighborhoods have been reduced to ash, families have been displaced, and critical infrastructure has been damaged. Brave first responders and community volunteers are working tirelessly to fight the fires and assist those in need.
The road to recovery is long and our top priority right now is rebuilding our communities together. If you can, please consider giving directly to affected families and to organizations that are on the ground helping where it’s needed most:
These are only a few of the many organizations helping meet the survival needs of our community members. If you’d like to learn more about these groups before you make a donation, please visit our website for a detailed list.
Your support will bring much-needed relief to those who need it most. Thank you for showing up when it matters most.
