Friend --
The Los Angeles fires have devastated entire communities,
displacing families and destroying homes. A huge thank you to the
brave firefighters and first responders risking their lives to protect
our communities—true heroes.
This tragedy demands immediate and unified action from state
officials. That’s why I joined
Republican lawmakers in urging Newsom to convene a special
session focused on wildfire response and the instability of
California’s insurance market.
Over the years, Newsom has called special sessions to push partisan
politics, from raising gas prices to suing Donald Trump—all under the
guise of “timely priorities” for his administration. What could be
more urgent than addressing the costliest wildfire in U.S.
history?
The good news is, we put so much pressure on Newsom, he had no
choice but to take action and call
a special session on the LA wildfires.
Unfortunately, he lumped this emergency response together with a
politically motivated special session to sue Donald Trump. It’s
frankly insulting to those struggling through this disaster.
As
I told Fox News this morning, fire victims deserve a response that
is both respectful and non-partisan, but instead, Newsom is
politicizing a tragic crisis.
Newsom takes shame a step further: he’s
now fundraising off fire victims. He’s claiming to collect
donations for the California Fire Foundation though his campaign
website and super PAC linked to ActBlue, the Democrat Party’s
fundraising platform, which collects 3.95% of each donation.
While Newsom politicizes and fundraises off victims, we’re focused
on delivering real relief. Please consider donating directly to
trusted fire relief organizations:

Fire Foundation
American
Red Cross (Direct your donation under Disaster Relief >
California Wildfires)
LA
