Congressman Butterfield has represented North Carolina's 1st Congressional District since 2004, prior to that, served as an associate justice on the North Carolina Supreme Court. Congressman Butterfield is a steadfast fighter for civil rights, and ensuring that every citizen is guaranteed the right to vote.
