<[link removed]>Join me as a Jew for Democracy at People’s March this Saturday in cities across the country. <[link removed]> United together, we will march forward. For all of us.

Dear Friend,

Trump’s inauguration next week calls on us to practice a skill we will need as Jews and allies in the coming years:

With hearts that are broken or afraid, we must show up to protect our communities and our democracy — over and over again.

This Saturday, Bend the Arc is mobilizing with Jewish organizations under the banner of Jews for Democracy. I’ll be marching this weekend in DC — kicking off the day with our Jews for Democracy Shabbat launch event, then joining with tens of thousands of allies at the People’s March <[link removed]>.

Sign on to join Jews for Democracy this Saturday at People’s Marches in DC and beyond. <[link removed]>

Not in DC? There are hundreds of other marches. Find your local People’s March on the map here. <[link removed]>

I’m proud to march with American Jews and organizations who understand this is a moment to rise up with moral clarity and righteousness, to focus on the values that unite us with our movement allies, and to fight for a country where every single one of us is free and the future we all deserve is possible.

Showing up as Jews for Democracy at People’s Marches this weekend is a way to say:

We are what Jewish community looks like.
We are what Jewish leadership looks like.
We are Jewish past, Jewish present, and Jewish future.

We believe in the promise of this democracy, and come together to fight the authoritarianism that threatens it.

Raise your hand as a Jew for Democracy and let us know if you can make it to a People’s March in DC or beyond. <[link removed]>

See you in the streets,

Jamie Beran
CEO, Bend the Arc

PS: At the DC march, we will gather outdoors at a kickoff location to hold a Shabbat ritual and morning service. Sign on and we’ll send details as they emerge. <[link removed]> At Bend the Arc, we have an organizational practice of honoring Shabbat, but we occasionally invite people to participate in important events like this one if it’s within your Shabbat practice. Many Bend the Arc supporters will be out wearing tallit and kippot, saying the morning prayers, and we welcome those of you who feel able to join us in this expression of community.

We are sending strength to all those impacted by the unprecedented fires in Southern California. The continuing devastation and loss from what might be the worst natural disaster in U.S. history are felt by all of us.
