Meet us on Saturday, January 18, at 1 PM at the Old Fourth Ward Skate Park to build a culture of resistance and solidarity.

💥 What is Fascism? Political Education Event 💥

Inauguration day brings a lot of anxiety for those with a conscience. Join neighbors, coworkers, and DSA members at the DSA Office on Saturday, January 18 at 2 PM as we discuss what's next and find strength in community before Big Orange comes back with a vengeance.
This presentation will provide an explanation of:
- Why it's so hard for people to define Fascism
- Robert Paxton's 'Five stages of Fascism'
- Umberto Eco's 'Ur-Fascism'
- A simple, one-sentence definition of Fascism
- How to fight back against Fascism
Everyone is welcome to attend this event and participate in the discussions, even if you are not a DSA member!

After our "What is Fascism?" program by the Political Education Committee, drop by Boggs Social and Supply on White Street for a get-together! This social is intended for new members to get to know each other and meet more established chapter leaders who can help you get involved. Feel free to bring a friend who might be interested in joining DSA - non-members are welcome, too!

The Membership Committee needs YOUR help to reach our goal of 1,100 Atlanta DSA members in 2025. If you like event planning or want to expand our chapter's leadership capacity, Membership Drive activities could be for you. We have openings across a number of areas: communications, phone- and text-banking, mutual aid, canvassing, tabling, socials, educational events, and onboarding!

✊ Save the Date: MLK March ✊

On January 20, 2025, Atlanta DSA will march in the annual MLK Day Parade! The Parade starts at the corner of Peachtree Street and Baker Street downtown, and marchers are expected to be there at 12:00 PM.
More information will be provided closer to the date to those who RSVP at the link below - please contact [email protected] with questions! DSA will provide signs and banners, but feel free to bring your own.
