Last week, I introduced the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) Act of 2025 with my colleagues so we can continue to provide funding for states and local communities through 2031 to protect the Great Lakes, the largest system of fresh water in the world.

The Great Lakes are more than just a natural resource. They provide our great state with economic opportunities for jobs, agriculture, tourism and so much more. It’s critical for us to protect and restore this resource for generations to come.

You know that I’m a fighter for the Great Lakes. It’s important to me that we continue to protect this wonderful natural resource and wildlife against the threats of climate change.
