Tomorrow we celebrate Memorial Day. As we spend time with family and friends this weekend, whether virtually or while social distancing, let’s remember those who gave their lives serving our country. Memorial day and everyday, we honor their sacrifice.
We also want to update you on what the Arlington Young Dems have been up to! This past week, we held our weekly movie night and our biweekly happy hour. There are more digital events on the way and we hope you will join us!

- Arlington Dems School Board Caucus
- Deadline to request a ballot was May 7th, 2020
- Ballots must be received, not postmarked, by May 30th, 2020
- Starting May 23rd, you also have the option to hand-carry your ballot to the South Glebe Post Office, located at 1210 S. Glebe Road, for delivery by a postal worker directly to the Arlington Democrats’ dedicated PO Box for the School Board Caucus. Read more about this option.

- Absentee Ballots
- Deadline to request an absentee ballot for the County Board Special Election in June 30th, 2020
- Deadline to request an absentee ballot for the General Election is October 27th, 2020

The 2020 Virginia Young Democrats Convention has been moved online and rescheduled for Saturday, May 30 at 12 pm. VAYD is conducting this convention “virtually for the first time in [their] history to ensure that we can safely conduct leadership transitions during a global pandemic.” The deadline to register for this event is May 26, 2020. May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Many people are struggling now more than ever with their mental health during this pandemic. Arlington County has launched a COVID-19 Mental Wellness resource page to help out during this time.
