Hi everyone -- did you see my op-ed in the Washington Post?

Our Paycheck Guarantee Act thinks big enough to tackle unemployment
By Pramila Jayapal, Haley Stevens, Adam B. Schiff and Sean Casten

My colleagues and I have an answer to the current unemployment crisis. It's called the Paycheck Guarantee Act.

It's as simple as it sounds. Businesses of all sizes would receive direct payments from the government -- enough to cover the cost of staying in business, plus enough to continue paying employees their regular paychecks.

Workers who were laid off or furloughed would be back on the payroll -- and we could make huge strides in reducing unemployment and getting our workers back on their feet.

Pulitzer Prize-winning Economists and a former federal reserve chair agree that this plan would be incredibly cost-effective -- in fact, it's already happening in other countries. But I need to know -- do you support the Paycheck Guarantee Act?

I'm committed to creating transparent, effective government programs that actually help people -- and making sure these programs have sufficient oversight to deliver on their promises.

I think the Paycheck Guarantee Act does exactly that -- but I want to hear what you think.

I highly value your input, so please take a moment and fill out my short survey today!
