Dear DPN Family,

Today, our team has returned from our winter sabbatical, a time to reset, reflect, and realign with our mission and goals. Unfortunately, tragedy has struck close to home this year for many of our staff, members, and the community we support. Our Co-Executive Director, Mark-Anthony Clayton-Johnson, lost his Altadena home to the Eaton fire after evacuating his wife and children with only the clothes on their backs. Sadly, they are not alone in their loss.

For twelve years, Dignity and Power Now has been a pillar of the Los Angeles community, during both precedented and unprecedented times, providing mutual aid in times of crisis including financial support, clothes, diapers, PPE during the pandemic, and more. We are asking for your help to provide relief to our community members affected by the ongoing fires in Los Angeles.

Your donations will support our Relief Fund, providing tangible assistance to those impacted by these disasters. While many are volunteering in the immediate aftermath, we know that the need will continue for weeks and months– long after the fires leave the headlines. Our ability to provide essentials, housing, healing services, legal support, and items like masks and air purifiers depends on your financial support.
