New American Leaders The Tea AAPI Event

John,

This year, Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month held special meaning. While we have looked back to honor the AAPI leaders who help shape our movement, we have also watched as a new generation of AAPI leaders have stepped up in the midst of this unprecedented global pandemic to protect our communities from rising hate, fight for resources, and keep everyone safe and healthy.

On Wednesday, May 27th at 3PM ET, we are proud to recognize their work in our new online series, The Tea on Democracy, with our first discussion, COVID-19 Stories from New York: Asian Americans in the Fight for Equity. This is a can't miss discussion—RSVP to get your free ticket now!

We'll be joined by New York State Assemblymember Yuh-Line Niou, Dr. Ashwin Vasan, and Moumita Ahmed, three of New York's fiercest AAPI leaders. They will provide insights on lessons learned for other cities and leaders, share their experiences working on the frontlines, and answer questions to help people like us take action in our own communities.

See you there!
