Yesterday I told you that our campaign was setting a weekend fundraising goal of $30,000. Please give me a moment to explain why reaching this goal is so important.

While our primary date is June 9th, the reality is that thousands of voters are casting their ballots today by mail and at in-person early voting locations. Every day between now and June 9th, tens of thousands of votes will be cast. This urgent need for our campaign to reach voters is compounded by the effect the coronavirus has had on shutting down virtually all in-person campaigning.

We have to reach large numbers of people in a short period of time, and airing our campaign ads on television is how we can reach them in time before they vote. Every day matters — please, donate now and help hit our goal before tonight when we make our next TV ad reservations.
