I was honored to be part of a collaborative team effort to secure necessary funding for the Robert Street update in our district, which will ease traffic, reduce congestion, and improve access for residents and tourists visiting our great city. We've secured $25 MILLION in federal funding through a RAISE Grant to completely transform Robert Street and replace the aging viaduct! This is a game-changer for our community.
For too long, Robert Street has needed significant improvements. This massive investment will allow us to:

Make it safer for everyone: We're talking upgraded pedestrian crossings, brand-new sidewalks and trails, and smart speed management to protect pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers alike!

Boost our transportation options: Get ready for expanded multimodal options, making it easier than ever to get around whether you're walking, biking, taking the bus, or driving.

Fix our crumbling infrastructure: We will rehabilitate or replace the 100-year-old retaining walls and bridge, ensuring the safety and reliability of this vital corridor for generations to come.

Improve transit access: We're making it easier to connect with public transportation, expanding opportunities for everyone in our community.
This $25 million grant, part of a $43.4 million total project investment, is a HUGE win for our community. It means a safer, more accessible, and more vibrant Robert Street for all of us. I'm incredibly proud to have fought for this funding, and I can't wait to see the positive impact it will have on our city.
