Dear PFAW Member,

While Senate Republicans were busy ramming through right-wing extremist
judges for the last few weeks, the House of Representatives went back to
Washington to advance common-sense solutions for the current economic and
public health crisis. The House of Representatives passed the HEROES Act
which would provide much needed financial support to bolster our economy,
state governments, the postal service, essential workers, and communities
in desperate need of assistance.

[ [link removed] ]Tell the Senate it's time to put politics aside and get to work to pass
legislation that will support the American people during this crisis!>>

The HEROES Act includes core provisions like aid to our states with funds
to pay vital front-line workers; funding for coronavirus medical treatment
and testing; direct support for struggling families; a boost to SNAP
nutrition assistance; increases to housing support; extensions of jobless
benefits and paid leave; and funding for the infrastructure needed so
people can vote by mail this November.

2.4 million people have applied for unemployment this week alone. Regular
people are bearing the brunt of this crisis. Creating solutions that
support our communities-- not corporations-- during this time is crucial.

We should be able to count on our government to govern and support our
struggling economy and and creating access to the essential health care
people need in this time.

provisions in the HEROES Act today! A responsible bailout cannot wait.
