Dear John,
[1/13/25] — In light of the ongoing wildfires affecting California and the significant impact they have on our community, The Union has decided to delay our re-launch, which was originally scheduled for January 14th, 2025.
Our foremost concern is the safety and well-being of our community members and partners. We believe it is crucial to support those affected by the disaster in California and allow adequate time for recovery efforts. The fires have created challenging conditions that affect not only those directly impacted but also our team's ability to operate effectively.
“While we are postponing our re-launch, our commitment to our mission and the work we do will continue uninterrupted. We stand with the communities affected by these fires, and we are dedicated to finding ways to support recovery during this difficult time,” said Reed Galen, founder of The Union.
In the coming weeks, we will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as necessary. We appreciate the understanding and support of everyone involved as we prioritize health and safety during this challenging time.
We look forward to celebrating the re-launch of the Union and the positive contributions it will bring to our community in February.
In the meantime, consider supporting the following organizations in their efforts to aid victims of the California fires:
Mutual Aid LA Network
Pasadena Humane
World Central Kitchen
