Trump and Musk have a new target: beloved public media stations NPR and
PBS.

[ [link removed] ]After facing one Republican assault after the next in recent years, NPR
and PBS are already hanging on by a thread. And now Trump and Musk want to
completely gut the most trusted, unbiased source for news out there. Will
you urgently add your name to save PBS and NPR?

Musk has floated lots of ideas to cut spending – eliminating entire
government departments and firing thousands. But one of the most concrete
things on his list is slashing HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars in annual
funding for PBS and NPR. 

It’s not a new threat. Republicans have been waging a war on public
broadcasting for years, trying to do away with free, fact-based
independent journalism that is required by law to be objective and free
from corporate or political agendas.

When Trump tried to slash public media funding during his first term,
millions mobilized to stop him. Trump lost that fight, but this time could
be different as Republicans line up behind him and Musk pushes harder than
ever for major cuts.

We’re going to be ready.
