Hi team - Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating! Today, especially, we remember the less fortunate, the ones we’ve lost since last Ramadan, and the ill. It has been a challenging Ramadan, filled with isolation, pandemic, and physical distancing. For many, Eid will be no different. Please reach out to family, friends, and those who may be spending Eid alone—let us continue to build community even in times of crisis.
I also urge you to remember those persecuted for their faith. Those suffering ongoing hunger and malnutrition. While we’ve gone through a month of voluntary hunger, millions around the world—and here at home—continue their involuntary hunger with seemingly no end in sight. Poverty is not a life choice, and we must continue to fight to ensure it does not become a life sentence.
We must elevate our souls, our morals, our charity, and our service for the upcoming year. We have not faced a crisis like this in modern times. Remember what you’ve been blessed with and never forget that we cannot serve God if we do not serve all humanity.
From Ayesha and our family, Eid Mubarak, God bless, and let’s continue to make this world a better place.
With Peace,
Qasim
