For democracy to work, the government to function, and the American people to thrive, we need people in these positions who will serve with integrity, who care about the rule of law, and who put working people over money, power, and politics.

Instead, Donald Trump has nominated Pam Bondi for Attorney General and Kash Patel for FBI Director, two people he knows will help him exact revenge on his perceived political enemies and protect the interests of billionaire donors.

Pam Bondi’s confirmation hearings are coming up first, with the Senate expected to consider her nomination next week. Blocking her will be difficult, but most Americans know very little about her, and we need to spread the truth about her record. Bondi has a record of putting the interests of wealthy donors and major corporations ahead of protecting the American people: 

* After the 2010 foreclosure crisis, as working families were struggling to keep their homes, she sided with the banks and fired the attorneys who uncovered the banks’ predatory schemes.

* In 2013, she solicited a $25,000 donation from Donald Trump while her office considered joining an investigation into Trump University—and declined to investigate once the donation was received. 

* She once delayed a state execution so she could attend her own political fundraiser.

Who would do something like that, you ask? A person who only cares about making sure big business gets a fat check. A person who doesn’t care about everyday Americans. A person like Pam Bondi.
