Hi everyone. I have a bit of unpleasantness to tell you. Outside groups blindly supporting one opponent have attacked my almost four decades of military service. Yes, weirdly, on Memorial Day weekend.

Their charge is that veterans are not welcome to serve in political office. Evidently, I'm winning.

That's a bad byline for the Democratic Party. I refute that bizarre outrage a mere 10 days from the Primary Election.

Let's show them that admirals can be the face of Democratic leadership. Click here to help correct the record. Your donation is crucial for the Democratic Party.

Subject: The Admiral's service is under attack

We're not happy, crew. A Washington PAC spent about $1 million to run an attack ad against Admiral Franken.

Look, we get that this is part of politics, but certain things are off limits -- and the Admiral's 37-year service record is one of those.

We need to push back against these baseless attacks. This isn't just an attack on the Admiral, but an attack on all military personnel -- active duty members, veterans, and their families.

We only have 11 days to correct the record. The Franken Defense Fund is active, but we need your help to fill it up. Can you chip in any amount?

The Admiral spent his career defending the United States at home and abroad.

He commanded fleets, led thousands of Sailors, Marines, Air Force personnel, and Soldiers, worked in the Senate for Ted Kennedy, and served as the Navy’s chief of legislative affairs under President Obama.

And the ad from an outside group takes a shot at this service to our country.

We have to push back immediately. So, chip in to the Franken Defense Fund right now.
