John, despite a
devastating loss at the top of the ticket last November, there were a few
wins to celebrate too.
As of today, there are 40 Democrats serving their first terms in the House
and Senate — and they’re going to be a critical part of the effort to hold
Donald Trump accountable and stop the worst of his administration’s plans.
This class is also full of historic firsts, including Rep. Sarah McBride,
the first openly trans person to serve in Congress!
From coast to coast, none of these freshman Democrats could have crossed
the finish line without grassroots donations, volunteer hours, and VOTES
from people like you.
So as Donald Trump prepares to take office and Democrats prepare to fight
back, we want to make sure these newly sworn-in members know we’re still
standing with them — even after a tough loss in the presidential race.
