Extreme Republicans have been chipping away at our abortion rights for years – and now that they control both the Senate and House, some are already pushing for national legislation to restrict abortion rights.

This isn’t a hypothetical. A majority of my Republican colleagues in Congress have already signed onto proposals that would ban abortion nationwide – even criminalizing IVF.

Donald Trump repeatedly left the door open to signing a national abortion ban if Congress sends it to his desk. And Republican super PACs that support these extreme measures spent millions here in Oregon to try to unseat me.

We can’t let that happen. Women deserve the right to make decisions about their own bodies – without interference from politicians.
