Dear John,
I wanted to take a moment to personally say thank you to everyone who gave their political tax credit donation to Oregon Right to Life PAC in 2024!
We set a goal of raising $225,000 in online giving through the fourth quarter to fuel our endeavors for 2025. During that period – with the majority of donations coming in the final weeks of December – we raised $207,902 through 2,365 donations.
These generous financial contributions give us the power to invest in pro-life successes as we launch into this new year, with a focus on recruiting and supporting strong pro-life school board candidates and helping them secure their elections.
But even though we got within striking distance of our online giving goal, our team is working with a limited budget. Our overall funding for our PACs was only at about 75% in 2024 compared with previous years.
Despite this limitation, we took big actions to protect life in 2024:
In the Primary and General elections, we reached nearly 1.2 million people statewide. We endorsed 69 candidates in 66 races, winning 42. In the Primary, we flipped a pro-abortion seat pro-life by defeating pro-abortion Republican Rep. Charlie Conrad in a historic 82% –17% margin win.Our grassroots team knocked on 21,172 doors, called 19,613 phones, and made connections with 8,804 voters in Marion County and the rural Lane County areas. We produced a high-quality voter guide highlighting our endorsed candidates who will best represent pro-life values and sent that guide to over 250,000 pro-life households.Although we returned to the legislative superminority, 100% of the Republican lawmakers who will serve in 2025 are now supported by ORTL PAC.
During the General Election, we…
Invested $134,604.97 in key races in Marion, Lane, and Deschutes countiesFacilitated communications for pro-life candidates in value of $24,021.35
We’re used to running a tight ship, so our team is focused on investing our dollars wisely in 2025 to make the biggest impact on our smaller budget.
This year, Oregon Right to Life PAC will be focused on electing school board members who will advocate for transparency and parental involvement in education and health care. Oregon Right to Life PAC is the only organization working statewide to make this happen.
We know this issue is important to you and we will continue our tireless work to elect candidates who will defend the rights of the unborn, advocate for parental involvement in children's health care, and stand up for the dignity of the medically vulnerable with the resources we have.
None of this would be possible without the enduring support of pro-life advocates like you. Thank you for all you do to advance a culture of life in Oregon!
Because everyone deserves an advocate,
